Fourth Annual Convention (online), 18 December 2020
“The Caucasus in Europe-Asia Connectivity: Strengthening the Caspian Dimension”
AESC is the Caucasus’ only regional association of European Studies. Under its current Jean Monnet grant, it will use its Fourth Annual Convention to go beyond the borders of the Caucasus and assess the experience of the Caspian Sea connection with Central Asia for enhancing Europe-Asia connectivity. The Caspian Sea takes a key position in facilitating East-West trade. Littoral states such as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have invested heavily both in physical infrastructure (port, railways) and in technology. Still, East-West connectivity poses many unresolved questions.
The AESC Programme Committee will accept proposals for individual presentations from the angle of European Studies including the relevant mother disciplines. Presentations should not be longer than 15 minutes.
Please send an academic cv (preferably Europass format) and a short abstract
by 1 December 2020
to the Programme Committee, c/o kruessmann.thomas@gmail.com. Those who already submitted proposals for the April 2020 original date will be contacted and asked to renew their commitment.
The Conference will be held in the time frame of 9:00 until 17:00 Uhr Brussels time via Zoom. It will be followed by an online General Assembly meeting of all AESC members
